American Band TV Show

“American Band” in my opinion doesn’t look like it will work. I think a lot of the talent will be too young or too old, or plain just not focused enough. The fact that the show is on Fridays tells me FOX does not think it’s the next “American Idol.” I am going to assume that the show will have some initial following; however, when Idol starts back up in the spring season, no one will remember about the “band-idol-show.” I am looking forward to so rockers and rappers, country, and jazz, but my Fridays will probably be spent doing other things, like the local high school football games. Until “American Band” appears on TV however, I have to keep my opinions aside and I will write about it as the information comes out.

The show works by having bands of all genres audition. Those bands will be then broken down into the top 10 which will appear on the TV shows main competition. The bands are voted off each week until the last three remain. Those groups then compete for a recording contract which guarantees them 19 tracks and title of “Next Great American Bands.” The search for the next great band will begin October 19, 2007 on FOX. The judges and host are yet to be announced and when they are, I will personally add the news and talk about the choice in people.

Hello everyone, welcome to AmericanBandTVShow.com! My name is Judy and I run this place. I am going to cover the new Fox reality show as it progresses throughout the upcoming season. I am a huge fan of “American Idol” and the same producers are bringing “American band” to TV. I think the show will be a big change to what we are used to seeing with Randy, Paula and Simon. Hopefully this show takes off the same and becomes a must watch show for America. I want to see bands of all types and look forward to seeing the talent. I would imagine there will be both good and bad bands and there will most defiantly be some future idols coming from the bunch. I also wonder who will be the judges. Will there be a Simon like person? Too bad they couldn’t get Simon himself!
